my vl keeps melting fueses started with the head light fueses now it has melted the ignition fuese (10). whats causing this to happen and how do i fix it. I have been told to fit a self resetting fuse.
Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your comment on our blog about the VL Calais! Sounds like you’re having a tough time with the fuses melting—starting with the headlights and now the ignition fuse.
This usually points to a short or overloaded circuit. A self-resetting fuse might help temporarily, but it’s best to find and fix the root cause—likely damaged wiring or a faulty switch.
We’d be happy to help you troubleshoot it properly or point you to someone who can. Just let us know a bit more about any mods or recent changes to the car!
